Plano Rotarian Rich Healy honored for five years of service as club president. Plano Rotarians honored past President Rich Healy recently with a plaque to commemorate his years of service to the club and community and his five years as club president. Healy stepped down from the Rotary club on September 1, 2020, and fellow Rotarians gathered to give him a surprise award for his service. Club Treasurer Greg Witek gave these words, “Rich, your mark on the club and the community will be here for a very long time. Your selfless service has been significant and seen our club through some important times. Thank you for your leadership and dedication.” Barb Nadeau, club president, recounted how Healy had welcomed her into the club in 2015 and has been a strong mentor and cheerleader to all the members, saying “You have always been a valuable asset to our club. We have depended on you for so many things through the years. Thank you for all your years of service.” Kathy Porter had been a member of the Plano Rotary Club for several years, and after a brief absence rejoined the club in 2019. She presented a plaque to Healy which read, Rotary President. Presented to Richard Healy in recognition of your outstanding leadership and dedication during your term as our club president.
